A few weeks ago i had a lovely box of chocolates delivered to my door. No ordinary box of chocolates though, but a large indulgent looking package of orange, pink and white which was so fancy, it could well have contained grown up chocolates. Inside were 18 replicate little boxes, all packaged in neat rows. Each of these contained an organic, dairy free chocolate, a simple eco friendly educational toy to assemble and a fun fact card relating to whichever endangered animal was inside. I loved the cards and I think they’d be fun to pin up on a child’s bedroom wall or to keep in the glovebox of the car for those long car journeys. Because i was making a video as part of the collaboration, Oscar opened them all in one go, and had so much fun assembling each of the little animal shapes, which are the perfect size for little hands. And eating the chocolates as he went of course (!).
The idea behind this brand came from the lovely Maya and you can read more about her inspiratonal story here. It was so nice to learn of a company that offered organic and dairy free chocolate combined with an 100% biodegradable toy as opposed to the refined sugar and tiny bit of plastic which is the usual go-tos for children who are desperate for a toy with their chocolate! I think these would be lovely as a treat in a childs packed lunch box or in a party bag.
I made this little video with Oscar, he’d been off school that week so it was lovely to see him so engaged, if not a touch bleary eyed!
